If you have any questions or are looking for property in the Salida area, I would strongly suggest contacting Hale. My wife and I used her as an agent and would do it again in a heartbeat. We were not 100% sure that we were ready to purchase property, but Hale took us on regardless. She was very patient with us and helped us find exactly what we wanted. She found us a 5+ acre piece of land with amazing views and neat little rock outcroppings for a very good price.
Being outside the city, there were many obstacles in closing (easement, well/septic, frozen pipes, local insurance/loan, etc.) and she was very diligent on guiding us through this process. She has kept in contact with us and provided insight to the numerous restaurants, bars, outdoor activities, etc. and has made our purchase rewarding.
With the ample amount of activities (fishing, skiing, hiking, 14ers, hunting) within close proximity, being a short drive from Denver/Co Springs, numerous outstanding bars/restaurants/art galleries in the historical downtown, and great weather that Salida provides, I think Salida has outstanding value in comparison to some of the other mountain towns in Colorado.
